Alloy Stainless Steel 321, or UNS S32100, is a titanium-stabilized stainless steel alloy with good general corrosion resistance. Aside from this, it also has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, particularly after exposure to the chromium carbide precipitation temperature range of 427°C to 816°C. Besides, this alloy has creep and stress rupture properties better than other alloys, and also excellent toughness at low temperature. Alloy 321 cannot be hardened through heat treatment and requires cold working techniques. It can be processed and welded using standard shop fabrication techniques.
