Stainless Steel 304L Flanges are fabricated from a low-carbon variant of the standard 304 stainless steel. Formulated with 18% chromium and 8% nickel, also known as 18-8 steel, making it highly resistant to corrosion and durable in nature. The reduced carbon content in SS 304L minimizes the possibilities for hazardous carbide precipitation during welding, thereby offering applicability in the most aggressive environments.

Properties of SS 304L Flanges include good resistance to corrosion and oxidation, high tensile strength, and good weldability. Though the tensile strength in 304L was somewhat lower when compared with the standard 304 stainless steel, cold working processes strengthen this material. These flanges withstand different types of environmental conditions, including acids and chemicals that are present in food and beverages.
High-temperature operations are one of the central features of our SS 304L Flanges. They have a design tolerance for bearing high temperature, as high as up to 870°C, thus making them applicable in such high-temperature applications as heat exchangers and boilers, among several other industrial processes. The typical rating for these flanges is Class 150, giving them a pressure rating of up to 285 psi at ambient temperature. This, however, may change in relation to size, temperature, and the pressure conditions of the pipework being used.
