Duplex Steel S32205, also called UNS S32205, represents a duplex stainless steel grade with precisely balanced austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. This unique composition imparts excellent mechanical properties and superior resistance to a wide array of corrosive media. It contains, by weight, about 22% chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and 0.14-0.20% nitrogen—highly resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
